OUR STORY
CO.TA.BO. is the biggest and most important society for taxi transportation in Bologna and in the Emilia Romagna region. CO.TA.BO. represents for Italy excellence, quality of its service and technological innovation. It was founded in march 1967 thanks to 81 taxi drivers who gave life to a structure able to satisfy the needs of the public guaranteeing a competitive and quality public service. In 1969 CO.TA.BO. was the first to introduce radio transmission making  Bologna the only city with a radio taxi service. Today CO.TA.BO. has 520 taxies and has cars dedicated to the handicap clients. The cars are distribuited in 82 taxi areas spread out around Bologna, Anzola dell'Emilia, Calderara di Reno, Casalecchio di Reno, Castel Maggiore, Castenaso, Granarolo dell'Emilia, Ozzano Emilia, Pianoro, Sasso Marconi, S. Lazzaro di Savena, Zola Predosa, and are available every day 24 hours a day.

RATE 1 - WITHIN SUPRA-COMMUNAL AREA (on a multiple basis, time and distance)

RATE 2 - OUTSIDE SUPRA-COMMUNAL AREA
Based on kilometers - one way			€ 1,40 per km
The driver must tell the passenger when rate 2 starts to apply. Rides outside the supra-communal area are those outside the limits of the supra-communal area indicated on the signs and entrance through motorway tolls. Possible stops, on passenger's request, are calculated separately (see fare). Return rides with rate 1
RATE 3 - RIDE DEPARTING FROM THE AIRPORT			€ 10,00
Fixed travelling rate and minimum amount to be paid (the taximeter remains inactive until reaching the distance in km/time according to rate 1
RATE 5 - COLLECTIVE TAXI The service is avalable from a single departure point towards a SINGLE DESTINATION with a minimum of three (3) passengers. 60% discount (that is to say each passenger pays 40% of the ride). The fare on the taximeter is for each passenger. Call to radio taxi: the taximeter becomes active upon reaching the address. A € 0,50 extra charge is added. At the end of the ride, each passenger pays the amount written on the taximeter. Passengers with parcels or suitcases pay a € 0,50 extra charge for each parcel or suitcase.
RATE 6 - COLLECTIVE TAXI. FIXED RATE
Train station /fair (p.zza della Costituzione) and opposite direction			€ 3,50 each
STOPS BY THE HOUR (€ 0,40 per minute)			€ 24,00
Dogs for blind people and transport of wheelchairs for the disabled (compulsory)			free

Tolls on motorways and ferries, return, to be paid by passenger.
